I couldn't agree more.  

Many (most?) days it isn't clear why the market is moving whichever direction.  Even the best hedge fund managers and the most educated economists don't know.  

But yet the journalists always have the answer.</description>

		<description>Its pretty amusing to read the yahoo finance headlines.  If the market is down they feel compelled to give a reason even if one is not readly available.  

Sometimes if its down a few points they still give a reason and then when it switches to be up a little bit they give another reason why its now up 10 points.  If they dont have a good reason they shouldnt print anything other than "The market is down x points"</description>
