I didn't read the background on the statistic.  I don't know if it includes revolving debt that's paid off each month.   

If you're right, then I agree that $2,100 isn't much.   And in fact it reflects well on students that they understand &lt;a href="http://www.wisemoneydecisions.com/2008/03/01/why-you-should-use-credit-cards/" rel="nofollow"&gt;the benefits of using credit cards&lt;/a&gt; (as long as no balance is carried).</description>
