A salesman earning a commission that is received over time used his labor.  The delayed timing of the income doesn't turn it into capital. 

Your comment does illustrate that some forms of labor may be more scalable than others. A lawyer can only bill so many hours in a day. On the other hand a salesman may be able to increase his earnings many times over by selling many policies in a short amount of time. In the end it's still labor.</description>
